If you are headed to New York City anytime soon, here’s a list of places I visited on my most recent trip (just two weeks ago) that I think you should definitely add to your must-eat, must-shop, must-go lists 😉
EAT:
By Chloe and Sweets by Chloe: You’ll find everything from delicious salads and burgers to treats, juices and smoothies, all vegan and most gluten-free 🙂 If you’re a cookie lover (like me), you NEED to have the old fashioned chocolate chip cookie, hands down one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten!
The Butcher’s Daughter: This plant-based restaurant is an old favourite that I always try to visit. The food is really good and the atmosphere is great!
Nomo Soho: I tried this place for the first time on this trip and loved it! The interiors are so lush you’ll want to hang in there for a while 😉 I was there for brunch (ordered the omelet and was delicious!) but I bet the atmosphere is great for cocktails at night.
Once Upon a Tart: This cute little spot in the heart of Soho it’s a great place to have brunch or grab some afternoon tea or coffee!
Jack’s Wife Freda: Visited this place for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food is fresh and the staff is pretty friendly!
SHOP:
Sézane: If there’s one shop you absolutely NEED to visit while in NY is, without doubt, Sézane. This perfectly styled store, filled with the most chic clothes and accessories, is a little piece of french heaven in the heart of Soho. They serve complimentary treats, coffee and tea from Maman so set aside some time to hang in there for a while, you’ll LOVE it.
Clare Vivier: If you’re a fan of leather goods and everything Clare Vivier does, then you can’t miss the store! (It’s just a few steps away from Sézane)
& Other Stories: This is one store I love visiting because they have an amazing selection of not overly-priced clothing, accessories, beauty products, and shoes. Plus, the store styling game is pretty strong 🙂
VISIT:
The Apartment by The Line: If you’d like a good dose of some bad ass decor and design then you have to make your way to The Apartment. It’s mostly a feast for the eyes (everything is super expensive and I’m guessing you won’t be buying furniture) but 100% worth checking out. Talk about decor goals! (PS: the entry is kinda hidden as it’s just an elevator door that takes you to the 3rd floor, so be on the lookout!)
The Met: New York has amazing museums and galleries, but the MET is definitely one of my favourites, I could spend a whole day in there. If you go after May don’t forget to visit the rooftop for spectacular views of the city!
Guild: This design store just recently opened their Cafe, La Mercerie, which offers breakfast from 9am until noon, and an all-day menu from noon until 10pm.
One World Trade Center and Observatory: With my fear of heights I honestly thought it was going to be an unpleasant experience but it was quite the contrary, so don’t let that get in the way! I absolutely LOVED going up to enjoy the beautiful views. If you make it here, don’t forget to walk through the path and make your way to the Oculus, the structure is stunning!
