So, I usually keep it suuuuper simple on my day-to-day makeup routine and even when I go out, all I add is a bit of eyeliner and perhaps some eyeshadow (yeah pretty simple and boring). Nothing too complicated and nothing that requires a lot of time. To be completely honest with all of you, I’m pretty useless in the makeup department (why do you think I created this series?) and while I definitely admire people who look incredibly put together and flawless, this gal here doesn’t have the time (or should I say has other priorities?) to invest in such routines.
Having said that, knowing friends who work in the makeup industry exposes you to new products and the latest trends, and let’s be honest, I receive free products from time to time, so every so often I discover new products that are great (how did I ever live without Gimme brow and Goof proof brow pencil?!). For these 3 makeup looks Velsie did on me we tried some Bite Beauty lipsticks I had received (they smell amazing!) and while I favor blush/nude lips 9.8 times out of 10, it was fun experimenting with bold colors and seeing the results (how else do you discover what you like or not?).
