Today I want to share a great experience I had last week; last Friday I did the craziest thing I’ve done in a long time regarding shopping: I went shopping on Black Friday night! Yes, this girl, who avoids crowds on wild shopping days and likes to do her shopping online, went to a shopping mall on the busiest shopping day of the year. But it was awesome, and this is why: I helped a mother of two girls shop for herself for the very first time in a long time thanks to Upper Canada Mall and the Snap Friday contest I helped to host 🙂
I honestly had a great time shopping for this girl (Christie) who in her own words, would only buy and wear $5 leggings and tops and couldn’t care less about them. All she does is buy clothes for her daughters, so I was beyond excited to give her closet a little love with some great pieces.
Since she’s a mother of two, comfort and practicality were top priority, so we chose classic and versatile pieces for a great closet foundation. We had $500 to spend but managed to walk away with so many fabulous items due to the amazing Black Friday sales!
THE FINDS:
. Gap Always Skinny Jeans in medium wash and fresh blue: Comfy jeans at a great price, I’m a huge fan of always skinny jeans!
. Aldo Uleaven Boots and Milroy Tote: Two classics for every closet, a comfy pair of boots and a versatile handbag that fits everything a momma carries with her. The gold hardware and the texture give the tote a sophisticated look.
. Zara Oversized Cardigan, checked shawl and Striped Tee: A cozy sweater to throw on anything, a soft oversized scarf as a “trendy” piece and a classic striped tee for everyday (because stripes are chic!)
. Banana Republic Quilted Panel Ponte Legging, Pieced Lace Tank and Striped Crew Cropped Pullover: Since she loves leggings, we thought of stepping it up from her $5 ones with these polished ones from Banana. And the sweater and top can be worn together or separate.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do something so fun yet so helpful for someone! And I couldn’t have asked for a better team from Upper Canada Mall 🙂
