Even though I haven’t spent the Holidays with my mom (and my family) in the last couple of years (yes, it sucks!), it doesn’t mean that I don’t think of her and all the good times we would have celebrating our favorite traditions together: baking cookies, putting up the tree and decorating it, and just enjoying some quiet time at night in the living room with a cup of tea or coffee while contemplating the tree lights (isn’t that the best?). I think that moms need the best, and while it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend a lot of money (I’m sure that my mom would be as thrilled to receive a photo album filled with photos of Matthew, as much as she would with a nice wallet or watch), it is nice to spoil them, don’t you think?
