One of the things I’m very excited about going back home, is to do Matthew’s big boy’s room. I’ve been bookmarking products and saving images like a mad woman. This is definitely not even close to what it is like to put an outfit together, I have so much respect for you interior decorators! Nonetheless, I think I finally decided on what I would love for his room (at least the vibe).
I initially liked this rug, but since his room is pretty small and has no window, I thought that a light rug would be more appropriate to bring in some light (right? I’m kind of clueless when it comes to interior decor, so please do weigh in with your opinion if you’d like to!). I love the industrial feeling of that metal tower which I plan to fill with baskets for toys storage. And because he has traveled so much for the age he is, I thought that a world map would be a great idea, I loooove maps and I really want him to be familiar with his roots (hence the Venezuela print, really cool right?), where he has been to, and where the rest of the family lives.
Of course, this would be the ideal, some products already sold out so I’ll have to make some adjustments along the way, but at least this gives me some sort of direction. I’ve never done an “interiors” mood board before and man, this is hard!
