Before & After file: Adding some flair to a regular bedside table

Sometimes it only takes a tiny tiny bit of creativity to transform a regular and affordable piece of furniture onto something pretty that you love. This is the case of this bedside table I got from Ikea, the Hemnes nightstand in white. When I bought it I knew exactly what I was going to do: add some marble self-adhesive paper on the top and change the pull to a brass one, that easy, that quick, yet it completely glams up the look, don’t you think? I already had the marble self-adhesive paper, so I only had to purchase the knob, which I got from Anthropologie for $9 ($6 if you’re in the US), so I would say this was a cheap fix 😉

Here’s the before (without the original knob because I didn’t even bother to screw):

And here’s the after:

Gotta love an easy and quick fix that makes things prettier 😉

I also added some gold patterned paper as a drawer liner (as simple as cutting and gluing)

What do you think? I love it 🙂
