Remember yesterday’s sneak peek? Today I have my girl Jenny from Crazy Style Love sharing her colorful closet with us, hope you enjoy the feature as much as I enjoyed putting it together 😉
Must have items in your closet: My closet must haves include statement necklaces (I just added this, this and this to my collection), skinny jeans and designer handbags (my faves are my Chanel’s and Balenciaga’s). My eyes are very sensitive to sunlight so I never leave the house without a great pair of sunglasses. I also own basic pumps in every color in the rainbow. My favorites (and the most comfortable) are from Nine West and Jimmy Choo.
Favorite color combo: I LOVE color so it
would be nearly impossible for me to pick a favourite combo, however I
find that I’m currently gravitating towards light washed denim paired
with blush pink, white and sometimes a hint of mint. It’s such a soft,
pretty color combination.
Who are your style icons? Olivia Palermo, Miroslava Duma
and Taylor Tomasi Hill. Each of these women are always impeccably
dressed and aren’t afraid to take fashion risks.
If you could only shop at one shop which one would it be? That is tough, but I would have to say Nordstrom. It’s my favorite department store and carries all of the brands I love.
Latest purchase: I just purchased the prettiest pale pink midi skirt from Topshop. I can’t wait to wear it.
How do you keep your closet organized? I’m a bit neurotic when it comes to organizing my closet. I feel disorganized as soon as one item is out of place. My closets are organized by garment type (ie. dresses, long sleeve blouses, short sleeve tops, skirts, etc), then by color. My dressers are also organized by type (long sleeve cardigans, 3/4 sleeve cardigans, sweaters, turtlenecks, etc) then by color.
How often do you purge your closet? I feel like I’m constantly purging my wardrobe. We live in a tiny apartment where space is limited. I’m trying to stick to the one-in-one-out rule. Whenever I bring home a new purchase, I have to get rid of something in my closet to make room. I try to do a major purge 2 to 3 times per year.
Most treasured item: My most treasured items would probably be my collection of designer handbags. I’ve been collecting them for about 10 years, and I always have one on my arm, regardless of where I’m going. My current favorite is my cobalt blue classic Chanel.
Do you have any shopping advice for others you’d like to share? Keep an open mind and always try things on. Just because a few peplum tops didn’t look good on you, doesn’t mean you can’t wear a peplum. It just means that you haven’t found the right peplum for your body shape.
