Blog Series: In my Closet – The Now Stylebook

So happy to have Elizabeth from The Now Stylebook this week letting us in her closet, and sharing with us her fashion style, icons, and recent purchases. Hope you enjoy it!

Describe your personal style: Classic with an edge. I love layering, textures and embellishments, but nothing too fussy or uncomfortable.

Favorite color combo: Black and White is my go to combination. I love pastels together like baby blue and pink!

Latest purchases: I’m currently obsessed with the brand Nicholas, and bought this black and white skirt, rose gold plated belt, and this necklace.

Who are your style icons? Taylor Tomasi Hill for her fearlessness, The Olsen’s for their originality and Vanessa Traina.

Most treasured item (s): Any of my handbags, jewelry from my grandparents/parents, shoes from my wedding and my rehearsal dinner dress

What are you getting this Spring to update your closet? I’m not much of a print wearer but I will be incorporating floral and graphic black and white prints.

If you could only shop at one shop which one would it be? Neiman’s or Forty Five Ten in Dallas

How do you keep your closet organized?  I keep belts, leggings/tights in
storage boxes and keep most of my shoes in their boxes {easier to
stack}. I try to keep some order in appearance so we use huggable
hangers and I arrange my clothes by color and style.

How often do you purge your closet? Every summer and winter. I can be a hoarder so I really force myself to give away as much as I can!

Any personal styling tricks you’d like to share? If clothes don’t fit
properly, have them tailored. Although I think it is fun to step out of
your comfort zone, it’s important to always feel like “you” in your
clothes.

* Thanks so much Elizabeth!
