Decor & Interiors File: One Room Challenge Week 5

It’s week 5 of the One Room Challenge and while I still have some tasks to finish I think I’ve made some serious progress, especially in the powder room. Wallpaper is up people!! And I did it myself!! Well, I had some help from Matthew’s grandmother but it’s up and I didn’t have to pay someone to do it, woo hoo!! Definitely a challenge (and a mess!) but completely doable ๐Ÿ™‚ The tricky part is getting the paste consistency (it took us hours to get there) but once you’re past that then it’s all about measuring (lots of it) and getting really messy (paste comes down the wall and you have to be cleaning on the go). While it doesn’t look absolutely perfect I’m 100% happy with it and I owe it to the pattern as I really didn’t have to align the edges and the pattern itself hides imperfections ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, here’s a look at it and more bathroom progress, don’t want to give much away as the wallpaper itself is the highlight of the transformation ๐Ÿ˜‰

Changed the switch plates (got them at Home Depot for cheap), faucet (Ikea) and sconces (not pictured, from AllModern). Changed the cabinet pulls as well, but I need to fill up the holes of the old ones and paint it (easy peasy)
Then in the entry, I still have to sand, yeeeahh I’ve been dreading that task but now that my friend Daan is lending mis his sanding machine I’ll be able to crush that in minutes. Then I’ll apply one coat of paint, hang the frames and I’ll be pretty much ready. Art is framed and I can’t wait to put it all up, and the pendant is in place and it looks amazing ๐Ÿ™‚
All art is from Minted and the frames are from Indigo.

Really happy with the pendant (from AllModern), just need to change the bulb for a brighter one.
So, tasks to get done in the next few days:
– Sand and paint
– Hang frames
– Fill up holes in the bathroom cabinet and paint it
– Get a hand towel solution (preferably a stand)
Don’t forget to visit the rest of talented people participating, lots of design inspiration!
