DIY File: Bow Shoe Clips

Finally I can share this diy project I did about a month ago (lost the initial photos and had to re-shoot!) I think that you bow lovers out there are going to love this simple and super easy little project 😉 I was inspired by these pumps to do a simple (but pretty!) little shoe pick-me-up, so it was just a matter of picking up some pretty ribbons and crystals. Seriously, they didn’t take long at all, and even if you are not very crafty you can make them in a whim! I was pleased with the result and I’m seriously loving how easily they “glam” up some of my pumps and flats 🙂

So, here are the steps and the final product (or products I should say, since I made more than one pair) You’ll need: ribbon in two different widths (I used 1 3/4 and 3/4 inches wide ribbons), glue or stapler, scissors, a ruler or measuring tape, and shoe clips.

STEPS:
| 1 | Cut the 1 3/4 wide ribbon (I used grosgrain) at 7 inches and do a foldover so that you end up with a 3 inches-long piece.
| 2 | Glue or staple in the middle.
| 3 | Cut the 3/4 wide ribbon at 4 inches.
| 4 | Wrap it around the bow and secure with glue.
| 5 | Carefully glue your crystals and allow to dry.
| 6 | Glue shoe clips (like these or these) on the back, allow to dry, and you’re set!

Note: If you don’t feel like doing any embellishments, just skip that step 😉

Ready for an instant pump update?! What do you think?
