DIY file: Valentine chocolate bars

I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to do this before, I mean, there’s no science behind it, yet I never took a chocolate bar and melted it. It is the easiest thing to do (put it in a pot and wait until it melts, how easy?!) and there are so many things you can do with it, the options are endless!

So, for this little Valentine’s treat I melted some chocolate, waited until it was cool, poured it all on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper) and then did some heart shapes on it with dried fruit and nuts. Then I took it to the fridge, waited some time (an hour or two), and I cut some squares. That easy! And who wouldn’t love their favorite chocolate bar with a little heart detail on it? Plus, this would be a great activity to do with your kids, don’t you think? 😉

I’m sure you can go with a fancier chocolate but this was perfect, I swear!

Place the squares in a pot and melt them on low heat

  Ready to be transferred

Pour it evenly on a baking sheet (don’t forget the parchment paper!)

Use any nuts or treats you like to make heart shapes

Once cooled, wrap it!

And seal it with a heart sticker

Or a pretty bow 😉

And that’s it!
