Today you can find me over on For the Love of Design, where I’m sharing 10 of my favorite things about the
Holidays. With last Friday’s tragic event in The States, I’m sure are going to make an effort to enjoy every single precious minute second I have with my son and all of our favorite things. It’s so easy to get caught up in work and life’s shenanigans, isn’t it?
Last night before going to sleep, I came across a Tmblr who listed all
the names and ages of those who lost their lives, so I read each name
and said a prayer for them…most of them were just 6, six. As a mother,
I feel I have some sort of emotional disadvantage, I’m not saying that
those who are not don’t or can’t feel as much as I do, but I mean, I
cried while watching Food Inc.!! Just the thought of loosing or not
seeing my son again can easily make me cry. I’m kind of glad that we
don’t have cable, I can’t even imagine how hard this must be to the
parents, and I pray that I never have the misfortune to be in that
position.
So today, instead of getting up way before Matthew does and getting all ready before he jumps out of his bed, I just waited for him in bed thinking about those poor little kids who lost their lives on Friday morning. We curled up in bed, played, hugged, and took it easy, just enjoying the little things, or I should say, the big thing: life.
