While I was in Miami in December and January, my sister-in-law introduced me to the idea of adding basil to my green smoothies, and while I wasn’t 100% sold with the idea, after giving it a try I was completely sold! It is SO SO GOOD you have to try it. Every other day we would try different mixes but this one was our favorite. It’s incredibly yummy and I’m sure you’ll love it!
INGREDIENTS:
. 2 cups Baby Spinach
. 1 cup Basil
. 1/2 Small Pineapple
. 1/2 Pear and/or the juice of 1/2 lemon
. 1/2 Grapefruit
. 2 to 3 Celery stalks
. Water
WHAT TO DO:
. Throw it all in a blender (I use a Vitamix) and enjoy! *Tip: It tastes 100 times better if your pineapple chunks are frozen 😉 (I normally keep a ziploc with some chunks in the freezer)
