Happy Valentine’s

Today, instead of categorizing yourself in either the single or “taken” group, I invite you to celebrate love in all its forms. It seems that the thought is that if you’re not with someone then today is not exactly the best day, well, let me tell you, that it doesn’t necessarily has to be that way. Celebrate love for your family, your siblings, your parents, your children, your friends, your life, and more importantly, love for yourself. Happiness comes from within us, from our ability to see the good, of both ourselves and others; from gratefulness, from empathy, from understanding that life is made of moments, and whereas they are good or bad, there’s always a reason to be thankful for. Never forget that there’s always someone having a tougher time than you are, so be thankful for what you have, be thankful of the loved ones around you and let them know how important they are to you. Choose to be happy, because when you do so, you’re choosing to love and be loved.

Now, if you allow me, today I’m going to get myself a cupcake, and after putting Matthew to sleep maybe I’ll pour a glass of wine, and watch binge on House of Cards, yeap, that’s my super exciting plan 😉

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and to my canadian friends, a great long one and Happy Family day! If you need some last minute ideas for today, let me suggest homemade valentines chocolate bars, diy heart shaped chocolates, and gold painted heart mugs. All easy and quick 😉 And if you’re in the mood of reading, here are a couple of links I enjoyed:
