Life File: 3 Ontario Farms to Visit Before Fall Comes to an End

I love going apple/pumpkin picking in the Fall with the family because it’s always a great experience for everyone. The kids have fun playing and running around, we all enjoy apple and pumpkin picking, you get to enjoy the best of Fall colours, and of course, nothing like picking up some local and fresh treats on your way out 😉

There are some really great Farms in Ontario to go on weekends and below are three I highly recommend visiting before the season ends!

SPIRIT TREE ESTATE CIDERY: If you’re up for trying some ciders they make some delicious ones (make sure you try the pear lavender one), plus, having lunch there is pretty neat. The pizzas are amazing and everything form their bakery is to die for (I seriously haven’t tried any bread better than what I had there!). Apple picking ends by the end of October but you can still grab lunch, try the ciders, pick-up something from the bakery and of course buy some apple baskets to take home 🙂

ANDREW’S SCENIC ACRES: This farm market and winery is pretty fun. I’d say this is one of the best places to come to pick up fruit (blueberries, strawberries, plums, apples, pears..) and flowers. Right now they have pumpkins for picking annnnnd, my favourite, pick your own flowers (dahlias at the moment).

CARL LAIDLAW ORCHARDS: I was here over the weekend (recommended by my friend Sarah) with my family and we really loved it. The place is gorgeous, the staff is super friendly and there’s lots to do. We did some apple and pumpkin picking and then bought some apple pies from the market (highly recommend!).
